So we set off on our day trip to the Aquarium in Toronto. I’ve also received so many encouraging comments from friends I haven’t spoken to in a while but have been following our journey online – they really do help! Firstly she said Euan is really happy and content and gave me a new boost of energy after a few nights of very little sleep with her words of wisdom. I received a wonderful email from Dawn who runs Omnipresence Nursery who looks after Euan at their before and after school club. Clair is doing a sterling job and I am incredibly grateful to everyone at school for covering me so I could embark on this journey with Callum. I got to catch up with the wonderful Clair Mills who is covering me whilst I am away and it was great to hear all is going fabulously at school. They miss him so much and one of the pupils had written Callum a lovely message expressing this. We called Callum’s class at school via FaceTime and it was wonderful to hear all of their news and answer all of their questions about Callum and his journey so far.
I have immersed myself completely in everything over here in Canada and found it difficult to contemplate life outside of our Canadian bubble but today I thoroughly enjoyed catching up with everyone and it gave me a real boost! Although we are having some wonderful experiences, it has been very intense and overwhelming due to the vast amount of new information/experiences we are taking in. Today Desmond had his own hospital appointment so we were tourists for the whole day but before we left our hotel we enjoyed catching up with some friends and family via FaceTime.
Callum woke me up at 6am with the biggest cuddle (dive bomb!) and then swiftly took me into the kitchen as he was starving.
